Do you listen to songs in another language? Or do you think that you need to understand the song in order to appreciate it?
Personally, I don't mind if the song is in another language. What matters to me is the music. Even if I can understand the song but the music isn't melody to my ears, I still wouldn't appreciate it. Among the music that I don't understand but I appreciate a lot are Josh Groban's songs, Chinese songs (during the F4 era)rolleyes, Japanese songs (animes) and Korean.

responses and comments:
I do listen to songs of other languages. Besides listening to Hindi and English music which I understand, I have heard some Arabic, Tamil and Spanish numbers. If I love the music then I don't mind the language. [sohelkm]
Ah, I understand now. Thank you for that information. [swirlz]
Yes.. they would all be Anime songs. I like the rhythm and the melody they have even though I don't understand most of the words in their lyrics. Just listening to them makes me happy and that's good enough for me. While I'm even posting this response, I'm listening to some lol [ratyz5]
I hope you find what you are looking for happy [ratyz5]
I listen to a lot of Karl Jenkins work. He is a Classical composer who uses a lot of vocalisation in his music. Instead of singing words and language, the music is made up of vocal sounds, much as an instrument makes sounds. It transends language and turns the voice into an instrument. [steerpyke]
Really? There's such a thing? I'm not familiar with it. I don't think I've heard something like that. [swirlz]
Good morning, swirlz... This is a strange thing with me. Most of the time it's the lyrics that matter to me in a song. Or the combination of lyrics and music at the very least. It's different with world music, though. I enjoy listening to all kinds of music from around the world and I don't need to understand the lyrics at all to enjoy the song. [katiedoubleu]
Yes, that's exactly what I've noticed. When I'm really enjoying the flow of the music, I just get into the sound of the words whether or not I understand them. happy [katiedoubleu]
Hi swirlz! I agree with you. It is good rhythm, melody, and tune that makes me appreciate a music even if it's in another language. Then when I like the overall sound, it is then that I will searched for its lyrics. =) [my_january]
Yeah, me too. It is only when the song gets stuck in my mind will I try to search for the lyrics in order to sing it properly. And only until I've memorized the song will I try to find it's translation.wink [swirlz]
well no i dont but i have heard a few songs else were and they didnt sound to bad at all [lateesha]
Yes ofcourse iam czech and i can only listen other language songs. For me is english best. [cednik]
Aren't there songs in czech? [swirlz]
I listen songs in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, and unknown languages(Tongues). [benoy85]
Think I like watching it more than listening to it. Sometimes there's Hindi programs on tv and I find myself watching intently. Not the msuic, but the colorful performances I guess. [tdusak]
Oh yes I do. usually it is the tune and rythm that I go for. i have listened to oriental music. I find it very peaceful, espcailly when it is slow music. i have listend to French music too. Spanish Music really puts me ina romantic mood. I might not understand the lyrics, but I am able to connect with the mood and tone of the song. [nickventere]
I do but I can only count them lol.. One is from Kiss, entitled "Because I'm a Girl". The other one is Life as a Boat by Rei Fu. I don't know if I did sing Josh Groban's non-english songs like the "Prayer" song. [MGjhaud]
No, I don't. Have never really given it any thought. Perhpas I will have to check out some foreign artists. Thanks for an interesting topic. Have a wonderful Sunday. [lolalolacherrycola]
*It's great that this discussion got you interested into foreign music...* [swirlz]
because everybody has a diferent opnion you have to stop and think ask it for your frinds parents etc... to find the best way for you [fulano123]
Music is something that is pleasing to your ears or enlightens your mood. Although lyrics are important in rating a particular song, I don't usually go by them. I like Japanese music very much for their instruments, although I haven't heard Chinese music much except those being played in the movies. I like african Music for its rawness, which may not be exactly soothing to your ears but have a uniquieness that can be appreciated. [punkpro]
My first language is arabic so most of the songs i heard is arabic but sometimes i hear english songs but i have to know what is it mean either that or i will just hear the music and the words sond with the music and sometimes i like watch handi clips it is so fany or at least what i watch is fany other than that i don't hear other language songs [proftiger]
oh yes... i do listen to the song in another language... i love chinese, japanese and korean songs as well... i don't mind if i don't understand the meaning of the songs as long as the music is nice... [lingli_78]
I like to listen to some foreign language music. I especially like salsa (spanish music). I like the beat. [venshida]
yes i do listen to songs in other languages, the beat is all that matters to me in the first place. the one foreign band that has non-english songs that i listen to is rammstein, they are german, and their songs rock! [dierdre]
Recently, I have been listening to a lot of songs in Japanese. My wife has gotten back into watching Anime angd she has purchased a number of Japanese songs from iTunes. Neither of us understand Japanese but my wife really wants to know what they are saying so she finds the lyrics online in Japanese and English so she can understand what the song is about. I like the much of the music whether or not I can understand, but seeing the Japanese -> English translation while listening adds another dimension to the song for me. [Ren1227]
There was one Korean song I fell in love with. Whenever I hear it, I feel like I can relate. Because of this I tried searching for the lyrics and memorized the song so I could sing with it. Later on, I searched for the translation because I grew quite curious of what it actually means. It turns out that the meaning of the lyrics was exactly what I was going through at that moment. It made me appreciate music more, that it really is the universal language. [swirlz]
Ican speak another language so will listen to those songs or ones that sound similar but i have tried to listen to songs completly new to me but i cant,.. find it hard to really get into it unless it has a really really good melody!! [yasmin02476]
I dont make a habit of listening to songs in another language but I have done in the past. I have listened to and indeed purchased an entire Celine Dion album in french. I love languages so I really enjoy listening to this album, I bought it when I was studying french at school so i was able to translate quite alot of it. I have also listened to Enrique Inglesias singing in spanish, I dont know any spanish so wasnt able to translate but I still enjoyed listening as he has a lovely voice and the music was good. [LauraT2008]
Thank you, and you're welcome. Yes, it might help with your Spanish because he sings very clearly. I learned a little from the songs. Good luck in your search. [Darkwing]
Anymore the only music I will listen to is J-rock. American music just bores me to tears anymore. [Sukotto_kun]
I guess you just had too much of it. Don't worry, there are still a lot of genre out there that you could get yourself into. Happy listening! [swirlz]
same as me! i listen to foreign songs too. mostly korean, and japanese. i can understand a bit of mandarin but not all the lyrics, so when i liked a melody i would look it up and find the meaning of the lyrics. then i will play it over and over so i can memorize them hehe i have started appreciating other language's music now... its just good to be able to listen to different language. [chiyosan]
I also memorize songs that way. hehe. Sometimes I do it unintentionally. It's because I like the song too much that I play it over and over, and in the end I would already find myself singing along with it. hehe. [swirlz]
I listen to songs in another language...I like to get the liric so i can understand the song...but not for all song just english song... I love listen to song english, Hindi, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Thailand and Latin song... The more i listen to song in another language, i can understand that that song even i'm dont know the language. [edaabby]
I lived and worked in Germany, and although not much German Music makes it to UK airplay,I would still listen to Nena,Kraftwerk,Falco, and others..As for Languages I don't understand,If I like the Tune,I'll give the song a chance! [ShepherdSpy]
I'm English, but I like Rammstein, a German band, who sing in German, but I understand the German language, so can relate to it. I think so far, they've only translated one of their songs to English. It doesn't really sound the same though. I think I prefer it to be sung in their own language. Brightest Blessings. [Darkwing]
That's right and the meaning has to be changed to a word which has the right number of syllables to fit. [Darkwing]
I dont listen to songs in anything but english at least the full song anyway some song thats in english have a bit of another language in them so that about it Other wise i dont have a clue as to what there saying [bronie123]
I don't normally, but a couple years ago I heard Il Divo and I fell in love. So I have one of their Cds and I play it over and over when I'm driving. One of Josh Groban's songs is covered by the group, one of my favorites ("You Raise Me Up"). [AmbiePam]
I love listening to Il Divo songs too. They're like Josh Groban but in a group. Their voices blend together to create a really moving melody. I haven't heard them sing the song You Raise Me Up though. [swirlz]
yes i listen to. i generally listen to music in other 2 languages tahn my moher tingue. sometimes also in other languages also. actually the rythm etc catches my ears. [subha12]
I mostly listen to english songs.sometimes i listen to latin songs.I love songs in another language that has good music and drum beats. [vicky30]
I don't really mind. Music breaks all barriers. In fact, I quite like Japanese and Korean songs and I listen to them quite a lot though I understand not a word of the languages. rasp [lordwarwizard]
I listen to songs in other languages, especially opera arias. It is the music I am listening to not the lyrics. [whiteheather39]
I collected Japanese songs (Hamasaki Ayumi, Gackt, some anime OST) and some Korean songs too (from various Korean drama OST). ^^ honestly I don't understand the lyrics but I find that a lot of other language songs are attractive and unique. I also love European languages songs, usually the ones sung by Sarah Brightman, since she has multilanguage songs in her various album. and I also love some of Middle Eastern songs, their music are great for dancing. :P [bongkarpasang]
Yes, i do listen to songs in another language, english songs, arabic songs and korea songs. Most of the times when i listening to a song, i try to understand what does the lyric means. However, if the music is very good, and the song is very popular, i won't care, and just listen to the rhythm. [lovelemonlee]
yes. i do listen to music that i do not understand what they are saying. in nigeria here, we have so many languages and i don't understand all. but i still listen to music of different languages. [bukolalola]
i do love listening to music in other languages especially when i have someone around who can interpete the songs to me,i love to listen to zulu, xhosa songs and spanish songs it sounds romantic to me [BYOLA2871]
I enjoy to listen japanese, korean, mandarin songs... i know the song about from searching from internet... sometimes i listen josh groban song with french or italian songs... i can enjoy those songs, even i cant understand totally the lyrics, i just understands from its title that usually almost the same like in english word. I do like to memorize the song and sing it... when i sing the song, people will look at me and they thought that i'm really mastery those languages... but actually not!!! lol. I like josh groban songs especially the prayer (josh groban feat. charlotte church), andrea bocelli, other latin or french songs... [manya_pearl]
The Prayer can make my hair stand on it's end. It doesn't matter to me who sang it, Josh Groban and Charlotte Church, or Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion. Both versions are really beautiful. Among Josh Groban's latin songs, I love Alejate. It just sounds beautifully painful to me, if there's such a thing. lol I don't understand it, but I can feel the pain. And it sang in a way that is romantic, not angry or remorseful. How could it happen that pain be beautiful? I always wonder. [swirlz]
yes i do listen to music i do not understand the language. so far it is good to the ears, i'm in [bukolalola]
I listen to songs in a foreign language all the time. Some of them I understand and some I do not. i do prefere the ones I do understand though. Sometimes it does not matter to much if I do understand or not. Sometimes the tune is just catchy by itself [teison2]
I am a music lover, who loves music from different lands. Once I heard an African song which was sung with just percussions(in the same beat throughout).I couldnt get the lyrics but it made my day. Some songs are so nostalgic that it justifys the saying that "music knows no language and it has no boundaries". Happy listening. [suchandra6]
The only African song I've heard (I think it's African) is the one sang in the movie Mighty Joe Young. I really like that song, but I can't download it because I don't even know the title, and I'm not even sure if it's African. Happy listening to you too.happy [swirlz]
i listen to a lot of chinese songs! i love listening to them, even though i don't understand the language. you're right- it's the music, melody and rhythm that counts. doesnt matter what the language is! ;) [kevsgirlalways]
I listen to songs in another language only when I like the music or melody of it. Take for example heart of the sword, rain by bonnie pink (samurai x ending song) or haruka kanata and heroe's comeback (naruto). [nilouette]
I honestly don't. I listened to some spanish music when I was taking classes and it would always drive me crazy when I could only pick up pieces of it. I guess I am more of a lyrics girl than music girl. [luvingmygirls]
yes, i do like to hear any song from any language although i don't understand at all the languange. music is music. and music is universal languange no matter the song in another language which we don't understand at all cool i love to hear hindi song, american song, japannese song also chinesse song. as long as i hear that is nice to hear then i would just listen it. mostly i love to hear hindi song and i just learned little vocab of hindi so little bit understand rasp [plumwish07]
No matter the language of the music is, I like the music if it sounds nice. And the music I listen to depands on my mood. Different wood different music. I don't know music well, but I really like listening to the beautiful voice. [nxjlshare]
I've always been a fan of Shakira, and all her early albums were in Spanish, which I don't speak or understand. I also listen to a radio program of Spanish-language music. I also like some Arabic music from the late Pakistani singer Nusrat Fatah Ali Khan, and I don';t understand a word of Arabic. [Idlewild]
I personally don't listen to any songs that I can't understand. I don't mean that listing to music in another language is bad, it's just not something that I can enjoy. I can't enjoy it, if I can't understand it. [cortney09]
Why don't you try Spanish, French or Latin? They're very romantic languages, and the songs just multiply that romantic factor. Personally, I listen to a lot of Korean songs these days. They're romantic in an upbeat way. [swirlz]
One of my favorite CDs is one that a Russian exchange student gave to me in high school. It is in Russian (I gave her a CD of my favorite rock music, she gave me a CD of her favorite rock) and it is great. I had kind of figured out some of what it was talking about, and she translated a little for me, but even without knowing what most of it means, it is still great. I think music is one of the things that really transcends language barriers. [SomethingGood332]
Awww, that's really sweet. It's nice to think that you have something shared with an exchange student. It's just a nice memory for both of you. [swirlz]
I love listening to music in different languages it is just great how they sang the song the quality of their voice and music.. Something that might keep you thinking about the content of the song.. [ayou82]
i like to hear spanish musics but i cant speak spanish, if u like to hear other language musics try ethiopian musics they r so cool, sorry if i become more nationalistic, cuz am ethiopian :D [gmwgreat]
That's understandable. Name a good ethiopian artist, I'll try to check it sometime. [swirlz]
I listen to music in French, in English, in Russian, in Italian, in Spanish, in Latvian, in ancient languages :) [gadabout21]
Very interesting, swirlz. I've never given much thought to listening to songs in another language(except for opera). The melody is one of the most important features in a song, so I suppose it would be possible to enjoy it in any language.happy [worldwise1]
The man I work for is a big fan of a French singer called Mylene Farmer and though I can't understand the words I like listening to her music. I also have some Native American Music that I love, it's more a repeated chant than a song though. I like Opera occasionally and the language often is Italian but it's the music more than the words that I enjoy. Like you if I don't like the music I don't appreciate the lyrics. The only music I don't really like is Jazz, I don't know why but it really 'bugs me' [Annmac]
There really are genres that would bug us. I haven't known of a single person who listen to all kinds of music. I'm almost there, except that I really hate rock metal, or metallic rock (I don't know what they call it). It always gives me a major headache listening to it. But aside from this genre, I listen to everything else. From pop to alternative, to opera and instrumentals. I'm good. [swirlz]
If the tune/melody is good and I get the mood of the song or the passion of the words it doesn't really matter what language the song is sung in! I tend to like Gaelic songs and Latin American ones - they are very, very different styles, languages and moods but both are fantastic! xxx [mummymo]
I'm with you. I listen to a lot of Japanese songs, whether just of the J-pop/J-rock variety, or strictly from anime. It doesn't matter that I can't understand the language, but rather the rhythm and melody is what counts. Some songs are just so darn catchy that I memorize the lyrics and sing along without even knowing what I'm saying! It doesn't matter to me. I just love music. [Antithesis]
Hehe. Sometimes without even knowing if you're singing the correct lyrics. hehe. I do this too.rasp [swirlz]
yes,and my favourite french song are elle and encore une fois.bandri is my favourite light music. the melody is very crucial to the music. [xialinye]
I listen to may song in different languages. I listen to music in english, chinese, japanese, and korean aswell. But I mostly listen to music in my native language Ikwerre and some french. [mishastar]
some of my most favorite songs are sung in the latin language - while I am not fluent or even very learned at all in latin I find that I understand enough of what is being expressed - but most of all it is how it appeals to my senses that attracts me to this musical language. [Modestah]
Several years before, some people told me that listening to the English songs was a good way to learn English. So after that I try to listen to songs in another language. Though with several years hard work, now I still can not understand the meaning of the songs well. But many of them are quite good and soft. I like thm very much. [nini168]
I love listening to songs no matter in what language they are. if it has a good rhyme and a nice instrument work then we can appreciate it even if we don't get the words. [saurabh9899]
f course. For me music is universal. I listen to music everyday. I listen to J-music, especially songs from anime. I listen to C-music (because i'm Chinese Born Indonesian).I listen to western music (who don't like it, anyway?).. I also listen to some Hindi songs and others songs as long as i like the music. [miaosroom]
Yes, I do listen to songs different from the language I know of. Currently I only can understand English, Tagalog and Chinese and out of those 3 language, my favorite are still Chinese songs. I listen to Korean and Japanese music even if I can't understand them at all, I really love their melody and find myself humming to their tune. [DevilHands]
I listen to 2 languages songs. Our very own filipino language and english. With that i could understand what the song all about because thats the only 2 languages that i can understand. [giePortlandOR_08]
Not really sometimes just accidental i could hear them from my daughter. She likes Korean tv seriesand the theme song is in Koeran dialect also. [giePortlandOR_08]
I do listen to songs in a language other than my own. I really love opera, and I can understand a little Italian or French to know whether they are love songs, someone is being tormented, or something horrible is going on. I also find that listening to the song in another language makes it easier for me to learn that language. I do love the music, and I do know that many operas deal with murder and betrayal, but doesn't hearing it in Italian make it sound so wonderful? [suspenseful]
Yes, you're right. Operas are more moving when they're sung in Italian. Even if I can't understand Italian or French, it is still easy to understand the mood of the song because you can feel it. [swirlz]
Hello dear swirl. I love to listen to song in English very much though I cannot understand them very well, except a few simple songs. When I listen to English songs, I would listen again and again before I can follow it to learn to sing. To me, listening first before learning. Of course, I also love to Japanese and Korean songs, but I would not be able to learn to sing as I don't understand them at all. [williamjisir]
Hello williamjisir. It is difficult to learn a song in a different languange. What I usually do is sing whatever word comes to my mind.lolSometimes, they're not even a word. Just enjoy singing to your favorite songs, even if the lyrics aren't right. cool [swirlz]
I mainly listen to songs in my own language of English. I also listen to songs in French, which I can speak. But although I think listening pleasure is enhanced by understanding the words of a song, I still believe that a person can obtain great pleasure from listening to a song whose words are not understood. I certainly can enjoy a song in any language, provided the melody and rythyms are beautiful to my ears. [CarlHalling]
I agree. My favourite songs are very lyrics-centred. When combined with beautiful melodies, that is what makes them special. But i can still listen to a song with words I don't understand and enjoy it; mind you, it has to be really good! For example, I like some Classical music, which is sung in say, German, but my favourite Classical songs are in English or French, as in folks such as Vaugham Williams and Debussy, and I understand what they are singing. Most of the Pop I listen to is in English; but I really adore Bossa Nova (such as Jobim) sung in Portuguese, in fact prefer it to the translated versions. It just sounds right in Portuguese. [CarlHalling]
I do but not that often. If I like the melody I will hear it, if not never mind. Music is for our spirit and mind and soul and it helps us to be more relax. How I wish I can sing also. [bagumbayan]
hi swirlz, how's your day? happy anyway, yeah, i did.. it can nihonggo due to the japanese i like most... jpop or rock.. korean songs and taiwanese too... it depends on the melody.. since i dont understand it fully... thanks for posting and sharing this....rolleyes cheers and God bless... [delgar]
hi swirlz! happy i do listen to foreign songs! the first factor that would attract me is if its one of the soundtrack of a show i am watching, like an opening song or an ending song. i guess its because i hear it every now and then that i learn to like it. the second factor would be the music. foreign songs are not that entirely different from a song that we can understand. only the language is different. the third factor would be, if the singer sang one of the soundtrack of a favorite show. wink i got also into the F4 fever. i printed a lot of their songs and a lot of the soundtrack from meteor garden. i also have a lot of song collection from different animes and Japanese pop and rock singers. i used to listen to korean songs too, during the time of endless love. ^__^;; before, i was contented not to understand the song as long as i love the music. but there came a time that i wanted to understand it so badly. that's when i started printing out and compiling translations too. happy [secretbear]
I do - all the time. My current favourite artist is Julie Fowlis - she sings all her songs in Scottish Gaelic. I also really like the Irish Gaelic songs by the Corrs, and a lot of Iranian music (such as Arian Band, Shahram Nazeri) and Turkish stuff as well (Zardanadam). I prefer it because I can listen to the sound of the tune instead of focussing on the meaning. I use it a lot as background music when doing other things. [daryush]
I wouldnt say I dont like songs that are in another language, I have listened to them in the past but i prefer to listen to music where i can understand what they are singing about, at least then you get the jist of what the song is all about. [graceandowen]
I only listen to japanese songs and english songs. I dont listen to songs in languages I can't understand. In my opinion its dumb if you listen to a song and can't understand its meaning. [rifat1337]
Oh, so you're a lyrics person? It may seem dumb, but it is still music, and to others that's what's important more than the words. [swirlz]
Yes. Besides English and Tagalog, I have a very ecclectic taste in music (if its in another language, the melody comes first and if it catches my ear I research for the meaning, most of which i find beautiful). I listen to Japanese, Chinese, Hebrew, Romanian, Russian, some from Africa and New Guinea, Spanish, Latin and Greek. [hitomikanzaki]
I see. But it's difficult to search for something you have no idea of. I only search songs from Limewire which I have the title and/or the artist at the very least. [swirlz]
I believe that music doesn't have a border. I like to appreciate any nice songs all over the world. I like collecting these nice songs and burning into a DVD. So that I can enjoy listening to them anytime I like. [youless]
Yes, i do, right now, there are anime songs in my ipod.. including the one from slam dunk, naruto, etc.. sometimes, even without the lyrics, you understand the song, even just the emotion that omes along with it.. like instrumental songs, there's emotion that you understand even without the words... i like latin songs sometimes though i don't understand it.. [posham]
nope, not yet.. i'm no sure if any of his album is available to my Country though... i'll try to check because i'm also looking for calming music and something to use also when i'm walking... some other world to escape to.. happy [posham]
Music is a language with no boundaries. I listen to all kinds of music. Spanish, hindi, tamil, english, arabic, chinese, malay. As long as there is tempo and rhythm, I'm for it. If I get really enticed, I do look up lyrics and their meanings as well. [wahishaji]
I tune out the actual words and listen to the sounds of the words as if the voice is just another musical instrument. I do this with a lot of music, especially Religious music. I love bluegrass especially the old timey stuff, but if I listen to the religious message it was pushing i would probably puke. [bradhart]
For me the important thing is the music, and I like hearing songs in lenguages I don't understand, then the voice is just like another instrument and it's fun [ginger_ale]
I do. Aside from English and Tagalog, I love listening to Japanese songs esp. the song of Reiji Sakurai "Desert Rain". and my all-time favorite: Because I'm a Girl by Kiss. [JoYciE]
Aside from English, I also enjoy my own language too, which is Filipino. [doorlight]
So, you haven't tried listening to songs in languages you can't understand? [swirlz]
yeah as long as i like the beat, its fine [livecon_1]
i believe that music is an universal language i dont care about the lyrics the correct combination of the melody and harmony is enough for me to appreciate a song. [mhayelynna]
I love listening to music in other languages, especially in languages like Russian, German, and Croatian. I love the sounds of the different languages, and the ability to listen to music without being distracted by words that I already understand. It's not about the lyrics for me, it's about the flow of the song. [danishcanadian]
In my opinion I like the song which I can unsderstand, when I listen a song in another language I will find out the meanning of the song. [echosu]
not that much attentive to other languages except hindi, english and tamil....> [vanitha3186]
Although English is my first language I love to har songs sung in Welsh and Gaelic. There's just a haunting quality about those two languages. One of my favourite bands, Fotomoto, is from Ukraine but much of there music is accompanied by French vocals and althjough I can only make out a few words the effect is magical http://listen.to/fotomoto [MichaelJay]
im half european half asian but i listen to Francis Cabrel songs even if i dont quite understand. i usually go to the music beat than the lyrics. but would be cool if the lyrics is great too. i listen to some japanese songs too. and chinese. some korean songs too. but i lvoe my countries song that i dont have some time to listen to other song. I dont like African and arabian songs, just cus of the beat. no offense .peace to all [jarred]
i don't care if i can't understand what those songs means as long as i like them lol i listen to them all over again. some of the songs that i love are jpop, chinese, and korean [rhane7315]
I do listen to songs in another language. Like in spanish, English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese....many more... Hehehehe [myanime]
yes i also listen songs another language . I Contradict you because F4 members are not chinese there are korean that's all I know [leocatubig]
I beg to disagree. The F4 are Taiwanese. And since Taiwan was once a part of China before the chinese civil war, and is now called the Republic of China, their language is still chinese. So F4 music is chinese. [swirlz]
Besides Indonesian and English, I sometimes listen to Japanese song (Utada Hikaru's songs). I ever heard Hindi songs, even rarely. [starbucks1982]
Yeah,I also don't mind if the song is in another language~I am a Chinese, and I always like to listen to English songs a lot~ [coly20032003]
ME too dont mind wiht songs in another language. I like listen songs. DOnt care if its ine english arab, french, i like it. If i find the beat good, the language not bother me lol. [julie85]
My native language is Hebrew and I listen only to songs in English, heard some in russian and I love Viking Metal songs in nordic languages(swedish, old norse, etc). [Mythion]
I love hearing new music no matter what language its in. Its also getting alot easy with musicians crossing over music and sharing there dual languages in music. EX. Celion Dion, Notch ... [questionsnoanswers]
I like to hear Anime songs. Those song really cherrs me because of the beat and spirit to fight. I like to listen of it in the morning so I have a "powerful" days! Even I am now 33 years old and other people might called me childish, i don't carerasp LOL I like to hear Josh Groban songs like 'Canto ala vida' and 'Perte' I don't need a translation to say that these song are beautiful! yep.. i like japanes songs even if i don't understand a word in the lyrics.. [posham]
yes i do, i listened to songs in another language. Most of the songs i can appreciated in other language are spanish ,dutch, some chinese and some japanese. [chej18]
I do listen to songs from other countries especially korean, japanese and taiwanese. Even though I can't understand their lyrics I find them so entertaining especially if the one who sings are my favorite singers or bands. I even memorize their lyrics even though it's really heard to catch up with it because of the pronunciation and the timing. My cousins even find me weird because most songs in my cellphone are koreans, japanese and taiwanese but I felt it was okay because at least I'm appreciating other countries' lyrics. I love Superjunior,Bigbang,DBSK,Wonder Girls,Rain,SNSD that's all from korea. In Japan I love Arashi, YUI,Utada Hikaru, NEWS and alot more while in Taiwan I love Fahrenheit,JVKV, SHE, Angela Zhang, Bang Bang Tang and many more. [Ranie19]
