Don't you think singing a song for someone you love is such a very sweet thing that one can ever do, especially if you do that in front of the crowd. Well, I have sang a song for my boyfriend several times already. But when it comes to singing in front of the crowd, whew! Wish I could do that.Well, it doesn't mean that I love him less if I can't do that. lol. It's just that it takes a lot of courage to do that. Anyone out there who have done this or anyone who would love to try this? aNd for whom would that be?

I sing mostly to my children, and have since they were forming in my womb. They still get a sense of comfort when I sing to them, even on occasion the 17 year old boy, hehe. My husband sings to me, he has such a soothing voice for song. One song that I love him to sing and he has song since we were courting goes like this in the refrain "I'll give you a daisy a day, Dear, I'll give you a daisy a day. Cute question. I'm not really a singer and I don't have a nice voice but I can afford to sing a song for my beloved one. I have not done that in a crowd too. Not even in karaoke, but I have sang him a song already and that's just the too of us. hehe. The favorite song that I usually sing is "Grows old with you" by Adam Sandler. I meant that song really for him. It's actually our them song. We both like it. I hope he can also sing me a song in front of a crowd. Lol... I did that on Valentines day for my finance. We stay 300 km apart and I wrote a song for her sang it with a guitar, recorded it with my mobile phone, transferred it onto my comp and burnt it on a CD. The sound quality was bad .... but she loved it!! And a couple of days ago when we met I just picked up the guitar, turned down the lights and sang it for her... live, but with just the two of us. I think the idea is great! But I know better then to do that with my voice! It would be no gift for me to sing to my husband. I used to sing for my son, but he told me it gives him a headache LOL. Yeah I did. I was in grade 3 and when our music teacher as us to sing a song solo style I choose "nothing gonna change my love" by George Benson and even dedicate it to my girl friend then. I've done that many time before and not only singing but composing songs dedicated to the one that I used to love. I used to sing in front of many audiences when I was in the band and choir so from there I've got enough courage to that showing my affection to my special someone. I also used that ability to win my wife's heart back then. Its so sweet, I think able to show your love through songs and done in front of a crowd. I think there are lots of lovely things that you can do for your loved ones. Singing a song for them is a lovely idea. However, I do think that it does depend on the sort of thing that the person likes. [racheldarcy]
I'm really not much of a singer, but for some reason my boyfriend loves to hear me sing. He says it's because when I sing to myself (either along with the radio or while I'm cleaning or something) it makes him think that I'm happy. Then since I'm happy, it makes him happy. I guess he's right. Even if you don't like srubbing out the tub, you can't help but kinda like it if you're singing and enjoying the accoustics in the bathroom. While I don't think that I could sing in front of a crowd (unless I've been drinking and it's karaoke night), I think it's fun to try to think of the songs that I would want to sing for him. I would choose something older and really classic. Like something a caberet singer would sing in a long gown while she leans on a baby grand piano.
