I am a desperate drummer.lol.so if ever I'll become a part of a band,or having my own band,i wanted to play drums.
I've already tried playing guitar,but it was so painful especially if your hand is too small.Im finding a hard time keying some notes,so I tried playing drums.and it was so fun!..I love playing drums,but I already stop from attending my drum lessons because of my working schedule,and I dont have my own drumset.I'll just pursue that if I already have my free time and my own drumset.
I really admire those guys and girls playing drums.they are so amazing.

I can play the piano, and I could incorporate that into a jazz or rock band. I'd like to know how to play the guitar though. My sister plays the flute and the piano, and she is going to start taking drum lessons as well. I wouldn't want to play more than two instruments. I am not good at playing musical instruments. So if I have to choose one kind of musical instruments, then perhaps I have to select playing the piano. Because you it won't sound so bad even if you don't know it very well. You can imagine it's terrible if you play the violin. And usually playing the piano will be the main role:) [youless]

Hey there, I am a tiny lady with tiny hands. If you should ever pick up the guitar again, slide your left hand thumb down the neck more, and you should have more room for reaching the frets. Also, when starting out, you should only play about ten minutes a day in order to build callouses. Once you develop those first blisters in the beginning stages, they will turn to callouses. You will be able to play longer. Add another 5 minutes each week until you can build up the time in your playing. I play around 2 hours a day now. If I had a band what instrument would I play? i know yjsy to play instrulment well its not easy it takes a lot of practice and patience and persistence for you to become a skiilful musician. Why am saying this because i have my own personnal experience when it comes to musical instrument, you know there were times in my life that I almost want to give up on playing because its difficult. But due to my determination Thank to God I know now how to play some instrument life guitar, bass and a little for a drum. I know sometime that we feel envy with those who knows how to play well on some instrument but dont you know that those you have amazed that hey play well, dont you think that also have a hard time at. for me i if just had a band, i would really play piano though i know that drums are cool and it the most popular instrument being used by bands nowadays but i always prefer paino. it is nice to play piano it is just that i really to study hard for it. well as of this time i stopped on schooling piano and what i do now is self-study. it is fin really. thats all. Well I love the guitar it's my favorite instrument and I would love to play the electric guitar in a band. I'm actually learning how to play the guitar by myself, I have some online help but I don't believe in taking regular classes for everything. I have an acoustic guitar now, and I'm learning a lot everyday and getting better and better at it. Yeah, it's true that the fingers to hurt the first few times, but now I'm kind of proud of my slightly hard, slightly calloused fingertips in my left hand. It feels good having that. I love the guitar and hopefully in the next few months, I'll probably get good enough to start playing in a band. [vega83]

My cousin is a drummer and I do think that is awesome... but I could never do it. Instead, I'd play the piano or keyboards :) I learned piano growing up and even though I don't play as much anymore, it was fun. I do imagine playing the keyboards in an alternative band would be fun. But I'd also love to be able to play classical or Broadway music. Me maybe lead guitar,but i also want to do solos so i could be lead/solo,I remember when i was small I wanted to play drums but we have no drums and then when i grew I saw we have a guitar then I first picked up a book and then read it then copy what ever hand positions in there and then that when it started ,as the days pass by I search the internet for videos and tutorials and then for tabs and then i realized that the more I play the guitar the greater i can play so now i think I can be one professional one if I practice everyday and do a professional tutorial cause not all lessons can be covered in the internet .....of course i can find tabs but also you want to learn the theory ......when you know the theory you can improvise and from there you can have a progress to be a professional one..its very hard to express .For example I should learn some scales these is the key in improvising ,meaning you can invent your own .notes or whatever......music you want........thats just one thing there are many other things to consider ........so if ever we made a progress maybe we could start to form a band hahahah ill be the lead guitarist youll be the drummer ....... iam 18 years old and iam studing in Btech I year i usually perform the band in my school life i use to participate in the collage functions and i play the drummer in my band and i also play guitar in 15 functions i have played the guitar but it is difficult in playing guitar because my fingers become slow in between the function so i usually play drums [patels]

When I was younger me and a friend had thought about starting up our own bad. He was going to play the guitar and I was going to play the keyboard. I dont currently know how to play an instrument (not good anyway), but I'd love to learn something. I did take guitar in highschool, and I'd think that would be fun to know how to do now. As a kid, I had a real hermonica and I actually just found it the other week when I was getting stuff out of my dad's house. I've been playing it off and on for my son, and he think it's really funny to hear the noise. I think it would be kinda cool to learn how to play real songs with it, and not just ones that I make up. I don't play an instrument myself but my daughter is a drummer too. She loves it, however, she has noticed that there are more boys in the lessons. She is the only girl drummer in her school. I hope you can get back into your lessons. To have more females as drummers is great motivation to the younger girls to pick it up. My daughter has a set of drums that I picked up used but in excellent condition from a newspaper ad. I got a great deal on them. Maybe if money gets better you may find a good deal you can get a set. I would really like to learn how to play either a piano, a guitar or perhaps even a violin.. all string instruments but, I wouldn't mind making beats with a drum set. (^_^ ) Knowing that I'm not that of a musician, I always fancied playing those arcade games wherein you play along those instruments and perform your way through every stage like that last one I remember, Taiko: Drum Master I think. For now, since I haven't been out to play those arcade games, I either settle with Guitar Hero series on our console or DJ Max Portable 2 on my hand held (-_- ) [ratyz5]
Am not confident with Percussion Freaks or that other arcade game with a guitar.. and whenever I do get to go at those arcades, I really wish that they'd isolate those music games from each other so that you wouldn't have a hard time listening to your own game music while other music games are also being played by other players.. i'm also a desperate drummer. when i was still in high school, my classmates & i are playing air drums, or we just used our chair to have a sound. my cousin have a set of entertainment, he got acoustic guitar, electric guitar & drums. when i'm bored i'm going to their house & ask him to teach me on how to play an acoustic guitar. then he taught me the song wake me up when september ends by greenday & jeepney by spongecola. i just played the chorus part of that song & i didn't manage to finish the whole song lol anywayz, on the drums, i thought it's just easy to play drums, but when i'm already playing drums just like for example umbrella by rihanna, i really had a hard time placing the perfect beat for the song hahaha.. that's why i just give up lol [jinxky]

I am much too old to have my own band now but if I could turn back the clock I would most likely choose to play keyboard or guitar. If it was a traditional Irish band then I would most definitely like to play the violin.
