Joybird sells custom upholstered beds I have a couch from them and it s pretty great That being said I worked as a house cleaner for a long time and would never buy an upholstered bed that has the upholstery around the base Too hard to clean and eventually something spills on it or just gets dirty especially if you have pets Upholstered is way more comfortable I had a set of wood chairs and got tie on seat cushions but it still felt not soft enough and those cushions were quite cheap and flimsy If the chairs are from a good brand the upholstery should be much more durable and comfortable

Love the grey upholstered version Super sturdy and nice I m also really surprised to hear they will discontinue it because it is just a beautiful bed and a lot of thought obviously went into the design I had to really hunt to get one so if there is one hanging around I wouldn t wait long before you make up your mind I got a 1300 CAD bed from one of their many labels Mercer41 Broke within a year Please take the 1 star reviews seriously Wade Logan Mercer41 Latitude Run are all BS There is no real manufacturer behind it there is no warranty or replacement part and it s generally garbage quality copying designs from other reputable brands Avoid Wayfair if you can
