HSBC really need to pull their finger out closing branches yet their site and app is behind the times They have only just added the ability to pay a credit card easily non DD Before you had to set up a new payee manually I did notice some pages on the HSBC have a new design so I assume a big update is coming Thanks to everyone else who has responded To clear up a few points Although HSBC initially offered much lower interest above 10K they have now extended the higher interest rate up to 50k so there should no longer be any kind of split My query to HSBC will also ask about the added gross interest gross interest categorisation

I wonder if someone can help who has got a Global money account I asked a while ago for the best way to change Euros into Pounds and was advised that the HSBC Global account would be one of the best ways So I went into branch to ask about it and was told I could have the money paid into the account in Euros and because the exchange is live I could watch I need a replacement due to a low battery Replaced mine a couple of weeks ago Popped into branch she got a new one out of the cupboard cancelled my old one and told me to follow the instructions

Hsbc are perfectly able to handle deposits of cash of any size and they do have the processes and systems in place You may think 20k is a large sum for hsbc to process but it s not all you have to do when depositing it is satisfy their aml rules I notified my bank HSBC at once but have been unable to recover the money I was initially told the payment would bounce back It didn t and I was then told a trace would be put on the payment and it might take some time Since then both HSBC and the receiving bank Nat West are each saying it s up to the other to sort it
